The team of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Moldova is taking over the experience of the Ministry of Energy of Romania in separating gas operators into production, distribution and supply operators.
A seminar in this field took place on 29-30 June in Chisinau, in the framework of the TAIEX program, after a similar stage was previously held in Bucharest. The training covers the steps Romania has taken to implement European legislation in the field of gas distribution, the development and liberalization of the sector, financing options for gas infrastructure projects and other issues.
The leader of the Romanian team, Florin Gheorghe, director general of the Electricity and Natural Gas Markets, Efficiency and Risks Directorate at the Ministry of Energy, said that Romania is passing on its experience in implementing EU rules: "We would like to be ready by the time of accession in terms of natural gas legislation, system functionality, and also ANRE, to save time. We have learned a lot along the way," he added.
