Telenești, 25 November 2025 – Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu carried out a working visit to Telenești district today, during which he discussed strategic projects for the development of regional energy infrastructure, with a focus on promoting renewable energy sources.
The visit began with a meeting with the district president, Iurie Tulgara, and representatives of the local public administration, who presented the results of recent investments and plans to expand energy efficiency programs at the district level.
A key part of the visit was the Telenești Health Center, where energy efficiency works were carried out under the NEFCO–E5P (Nordic Green Bank) program, with a total value of €570,000. Renovation works included thermal insulation of the facades, roof, and basement, replacement of the roof, installation of modern doors and windows, and integration of a 45 kW photovoltaic system to provide a sustainable energy source. The modernization works are estimated to achieve annual savings of 55% in thermal energy consumption and 63% in electricity consumption, resulting in total savings of over 1.5 million MDL per year.
The minister also visited the Telenești District Hospital, where he evaluated the energy efficiency works completed so far and discussed with the hospital management the expansion of modernization projects. Solutions implemented to reduce energy consumption, improve infrastructure, and enhance comfort for patients and medical staff were analyzed.
The minister’s visit concluded at the “Andrieș” Kindergarten, where photovoltaic panels were recently installed, contributing to reduced electricity expenses and increased institutional autonomy. At the same time, modernization works were carried out on the kindergarten’s infrastructure to ensure a safer and more efficient environment for children and staff.
During the visit, the minister discussed with the institutions’ administrations the impact of energy efficiency projects. “Investments in energy efficiency do not only mean savings — they mean comfort for people, better public services, and less pressure on local budgets. Telenești is a clear example that smart modernization delivers visible results in a short time,” said Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu.
