Amendments to renewable energy law discussed in public consultation round
A new round of public consultations on amendments to the law on renewable energy took place on Friday at the Ministry of Energy.
The issues of the transition from net metering to net billing mechanism for owners of photovoltaic power plants, issues related to increasing the number of investors for the support schemes offered by the state - duration of construction of plants, admission of second-hand wind power plants, rights of financiers, etc. were discussed at length.
Other topics covered include the transition from the current energy market organization to organized markets and implications for producers and other issues.
We want the changes not only to remove barriers to market development, but also to take into account the wishes and interests of market players to the greatest possible extent. So we will soon organize new rounds of public discussions to listen to proposals on all chapters of the law.
