Innovative Project Facilitating Real-Time Energy Data Collection and Processing Selected as Winner in the Sandbox Program

09.02.2026, Chișinău – Innovation in the energy sector receives a new boost. The Commission for Innovative Testing Spaces in Energy Regulation announced the selection of the project “Moldova Energy Hub Tech-BRP for Small Commercial Renewable Energy Sources and Non-Profit Organizations”, submitted by SC Sandrologic Grup S.R.L., as a participant in the Sandbox Program.
The decision was made at the Commission meeting on 15 January 2026 and reflects the authorities’ commitment to supporting modern technological solutions that can accelerate the energy transition and be tested in a flexible, forward-looking regulatory framework.
The project proposes the development of an interoperable digital platform dedicated to small renewable energy producers and non-profit organizations, designed to facilitate real-time data collection and processing, as well as optimize forecasting and reporting processes in the electricity market.
Additionally, the project aims to develop and test a simplified digital model to help small renewable energy producers and non-profit organizations manage their balancing responsibilities efficiently, transparently, and in an easy-to-use manner.
Through this initiative, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Moldova supports the development of digital solutions in the energy sector, promotes renewable energy sources, and creates a favorable framework for testing technological innovations in a regulated and secure environment.
The Sandbox mechanism represents a key tool for modernizing the national energy market, providing the opportunity to test new operational and regulatory models with a positive impact on efficiency, transparency, and sustainability of the energy sector in Republic of Moldova.
