The Ministry of Energy reports that approximately 3,000 consumers in the Buiucani sector of the capital were temporarily without electricity due to a power outage.
Specialized teams from Premier Energy immediately went to the site to resolve the issue, and all consumers have now been reconnected to the electricity supply. Public transport operations were not affected. The cause of the malfunction was two 6 kV cables that went out of service.
Recommendations for the public during a power outage:
Remain calm and act with caution.
Follow the instructions of patrol officers present in the area.
Pay extra attention when crossing streets and avoid using elevators during the outage.
Do not use open flames unattended, and do not leave them burning in the absence of a responsible person.
Ensure that elderly people, children, and other vulnerable individuals are under supervision.
Use flashlights or mobile phone lights for temporary illumination.
The Ministry of Energy, together with electricity network operators, continues to monitor the situation to prevent similar incidents in the future.
