30 young graduates in the fields of engineering, economics, law, communication and IT will benefit from paid internships in several leading organizations in the energy sector, through the Energy Internship Program, entitled "Today's Youth - Tomorrow's Energy Future".

The Paid Energy Internship Program is an initiative supported by USAID and the British Embassy in Chisinau and implemented by the USAID Moldova Energy Security Project with the aim of strengthening human capital in the energy sector by attracting young professionals, thus contributing to reducing the labor shortage in the sector.

For 6 months, young people will be able to benefit from paid internships in the most important public and private companies in the energy sector, including: Ministry of Energy, National Agency for Energy Regulation of Moldova (ANRE), National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED), Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Moldelectrica, Energocom, Termoelectrica, Term.md, RED-Nord, CET-Nord and Fee-Nord.

During the 6 months, the young people will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge, improve their technical skills and interact with professionals from the energy sector. Trainees will receive a monthly stipend and an official certificate of completion.

In 2023, in a similar round, more than 70% of the young people in the internship program became full-time employees in the institutions and companies where they interned.

The internship will run from April to September 2024.
