Energy Minister Victor Parlicov met with a group of young participants of the Joint Internship Program of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, which he initiated in the energy sector.

The official spoke to them about how Moldova is currently supplied with gas and electricity, about the misperception that the state would not support the installation of renewable energy plants and explained to them the reasons for the huge difference in tariffs between citizens on the right bank of the Dniester and those on the left bank.

Minister Victor Parlicov urged the trainees to participate in the transformation of the energy sector and gave the example of a young man from a Balti-based energy company who is contributing to the change as a trainee.

"The energy sector is the sector that will generate in the coming years a lot of transformation in this country, a transformation on a scale that we have not seen so far. I invite all of you to be part of this process, a transformation that is not so much about technologies, but about mentalities and paradigms", was the Energy Minister's message to young people.

 In the context, Victor Parlicov told them that the human resource is the most valuable resource of the country and that he personally accepted the challenge of being a minister in order to "molipsi" and give hope to other people to want to stay in the Republic of Moldova, to believe that they have the same chances and opportunities to manifest themselves at home as abroad, which will ultimately lead to change in the country.
