Minister of Energy Victor Parlicov had a working meeting with Gazprom President Alexei Miller.

 

The parties discussed natural gas supplies to the Republic of Moldova (in the Transnistrian region) under the existing contract after January 1, especially if transit through Ukraine is interrupted.

 

During the meeting, the members of the Board of Directors of SA Moldovagaz, proposed by the Ministry of Energy, were presented. These are Dorin Junghietu for the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vadim Ceban for the position of Vice-Chairman, Eduard Calancea and Radu Mandraburca for the positions of members of the Board of Directors. In the near future, the respective candidacies will be subject to a repeated voting procedure.

 

The parties also discussed the settlement of Moldovagaz's debt to Gazprom and agreed to resume consultations on this issue.
